    How to crop an image

    1. Add your image

Drop one JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or HEIC file onto the page, or click to browse.

    2. Set the crop rectangle

Enter x, y, width and height in pixels — the tool shows the source dimensions and checks the rectangle fits.

    3. Download the cropped image

Download the cropped PNG, named with a -cropped suffix so it stays distinguishable from the original.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the crop area?

You set the rectangle in pixels: left offset (x), top offset (y), width and height. The tool shows the image dimensions so you can pick values that fit, and rejects a rectangle that runs past the edge.

Why only one file at a time?

A crop rectangle only makes sense per picture — the same coordinates would cut different subjects out of different photos. This tool therefore takes a single file on purpose; batch tools handle uniform operations instead.

Do I have to upload my image?

No. Cropping runs entirely in your browser — your file never leaves your device.

    Does cropping reduce quality?

Cropping removes pixels outside the rectangle and keeps the rest untouched — the remaining area is exactly as sharp as before, just smaller. Re-encoding to PNG is lossless.

What is the file size limit?

Single files up to 25 MB.

    Cropping to an exact rectangle

Here is what each format is for, and when converting an image cropped to exact pixels is the right move.

    What is Full image?

The original picture with everything the camera or screenshot captured — usually more scene than you want to keep.

    What is Cropped image?

Just the pixel rectangle you asked for. Everything outside is discarded; everything inside is kept at full original sharpness.

    When you need it

Crop when the subject matters and the edges do not — product photos, profile pictures, screenshots with chrome to trim. You set exact pixels, so the result fits a known slot precisely; for changing the size of the whole picture instead, use Resize Image.
