Nothing — the tool reads the PDF text layer only and returns a clear no-tables error for scanned files. Run OCR first to get selectable text, then convert; OCR output is plain text and does not become a spreadsheet by itself.
Up to 100 pages and 25 MB per file. The result carries at least one and at most 500 detected tables — the page and table counts shown after processing are validated headers returned by the server, not estimates.
No. Every cell is written as a literal text string — there are no formulas, number formats or original spreadsheet formatting in the output. Check the values in Excel before doing any calculations.
Table extraction reconstructs rows and columns from the text layer; merged cells and complex layouts may not survive exactly. Each detected table becomes its own worksheet.
On our server, after you confirm the upload on the page. The temporary copy is deleted when the request finishes — nothing is stored.
Here is what each format is for, and when converting PDF tables into Excel worksheets is the right move.
What is PDF with tables?

What is Excel workbook (XLSX)?
A spreadsheet with one worksheet per detected table. Cells are literal text strings: no formulas, number formats or recreated styling.
When you need it
Convert when tabular data is trapped in a PDF and you need to sort, filter or re-use it in Excel. The PDF keeps the original look; the workbook gives you workable rows and columns — always review the text cells before relying on them.
