    How to watermark an image

    1. Add your images

Drop your JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or HEIC files onto the page, or click to browse.

    2. Enter the watermark text

Type the text — Unicode works, so any script you can type is rendered — and adjust position and size.

    3. Download the watermarked images

Download each watermarked PNG, or the whole batch as a ZIP — named with a -watermarked suffix.

    Frequently asked questions

Does a watermark protect my images?

No — and we will not pretend otherwise. A text overlay is a visible deterrent at best: it can be cropped out, edited over or cloned away. It marks ownership visibly; it does not prevent copying.

Do I have to upload my images?

No. Watermarking runs entirely in your browser — your files never leave your device.

Can I watermark a batch with the same text?

Yes. Drop multiple files, enter the text once, and all outputs carry the same watermark — processed all-or-nothing.

Does the watermark tool add its own branding?

No. Only the text you type is drawn — there is no ToolMink logo, no forced badge, no paid tier to remove one.

What is the file size limit?

Single files up to 25 MB.

    Text overlays on images

Here is what each format is for, and when converting images with a text watermark is the right move.

    What is Your image?

The original picture — a photo, a mockup, a proof — that you want visibly marked before sharing.

    What is Watermarked image?

The same picture with your text drawn over it. The overlay becomes part of the pixels, so it shows in every viewer without extra software.

    When you need it

Watermark proofs, drafts and previews you share before payment or publication. Be clear-eyed about what it does: it marks visibly, it does not secure. Once an image is out, a determined copyist can remove or crop an overlay — for real control you need licensing and terms, not pixels.
