How to generate a QR code

  1. Enter your content

Type or paste a URL, message, Wi-Fi string or any UTF-8 text up to 2000 bytes.

  2. Pick error correction

Choose L, M, Q or H — higher levels survive more damage but carry less data.

  3. Download the PNG

Save the generated QR code image — created locally with no watermark.

Frequently asked questions

How do I create a QR code?

Type or paste your text or URL, choose an error-correction level, and download the PNG. Encoding happens in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.

What is error correction and which level should I pick?

It is the redundancy that lets a damaged QR code still scan. L holds the most data but tolerates the least damage; H tolerates the most but stores less. M or Q suits most everyday uses.

Does the QR code contain a link to your site?

No. The QR code encodes exactly the payload you typed — nothing is appended, redirected or shortened. It is a plain UTF-8 payload with no fetching involved.

What are the size limits?

The UTF-8 encoded payload can be up to 2000 bytes. Longer text is rejected rather than silently truncated, so a scanned code always matches your input.

Payloads into scannable squares

Here is what each format is for, and when converting text into QR code PNGs is the right move.

What is QR codes?

Two-dimensional barcodes that phones scan from a camera. They pack hundreds of characters, carry built-in error correction, and encode whatever payload you provide verbatim.

What is Your payload, encoded?

The tool renders your exact UTF-8 text — a URL, plain note or vCard fragment — into a clean PNG. No tracking layer, no redirect service, no expiry.

When you need it

Use it for menus, event tickets, Wi-Fi sharing, payment details or packaging links. Test the printed size on a real phone first: tiny codes on posters need higher error correction and a quiet white margin around the symbol.
