    How to rotate an image

    1. Add your images

Drop your JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or HEIC files onto the page, or click to browse.

    2. Pick the rotation angle

Choose 90°, 180° or 270°. The same angle applies to every file in the batch.

    3. Download the rotated images

Download each rotated PNG, or the whole batch as a ZIP — named with a -rotated suffix so originals stay identifiable.

    Frequently asked questions

Which angles can I rotate by?

Exactly 90°, 180° or 270°, clockwise. These are lossless pixel rearrangements — no resampling, so no softening. Free-angle rotation is a different operation and is not offered here.

Do I have to upload my photos?

No. Rotation runs entirely in your browser — open the Network tab while converting and you will see no upload of your images.

    Does rotation lose quality?

Rotating by exact 90-degree steps only moves pixels — it does not resample them, so sharpness is unchanged. Re-encoding to PNG keeps the pixels lossless; note that a JPEG source is decoded once, which discards nothing beyond what the JPEG already lost.

Can I rotate a whole batch?

Yes. Drop multiple files, pick one angle, and every file is rotated the same way. The batch is processed all-or-nothing: if any file fails, nothing is partially written.

What is the file size limit?

Single files up to 25 MB — enough for camera originals.

    Rotating images the exact way

Here is what each format is for, and when converting images rotated by exact angles is the right move.

    What is Your photo?

Cameras and phones store an orientation flag as well as pixels, which is why photos sometimes open sideways in apps that ignore the flag.

    What is Rotated image?

Rotating by exact 90-degree steps physically rearranges the pixels, so the picture displays upright everywhere — no matter how a viewer handles the orientation flag.

    When you need it

Rotate when a photo opens sideways or upside down — exact 90° steps move pixels without resampling, so sharpness is untouched. For arbitrary angles like a 5° straighten, a resampling editor is the right tool instead.
