Sign PDF

Place your signature image anywhere on a PDF — drawn, typed or uploaded.

Preparing the tool…

⚠️ This stamps a picture of your signature — it is an image signature, not a digital signature, and modifying a PDF that already carries a digital signature invalidates that signature.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a legally binding digital signature?

No. This tool places an image of your signature on the page. It is a visible signature stamp, not a cryptographic or certificate-based digital signature under eIDAS or the ESIGN Act. Whether an image signature is acceptable depends on the recipient.

How do I create the signature?

Draw it with your mouse, finger or stylus, type your name in a handwriting font, or upload a PNG of your existing signature. Transparent PNGs look best on the page.

Can I sign multiple pages?

Yes. Place the signature once and copy it to other pages, or drag a new instance wherever you need it before saving.

Where is my document processed?

Entirely in your browser. The PDF and the signature image never leave your device — there is no upload step and no account.

Visible signatures on PDFs

Here is what each format is for, and when converting signature images onto PDF pages is the right move.

What is Wet-ink signing?

Printing a PDF, signing it by hand and scanning it back. Reliable where accepted, but slow, lossy and awkward for remote signing.

What is Image signature?

A transparent PNG of your signature embedded into the PDF page. Instant, reusable, and visually equivalent to ink — without claiming cryptographic certification.

When you need it

Use it for everyday approvals, internal forms and documents where a visible signature is enough. For contracts that legally require a qualified digital signature, use a certificate-based signing service instead.
